24th Annual Food Drive
In less enlighted times, children were sometimes sent to bed without supper for being naughty. But can you imagine having to send your child to bed hungry because there isn’t enough food in the house?
Hunger and food insecurity are rampant; the poverty rate in the Worcester Public Schools is so high that more than 95% of students are eligible for reduced or free lunch.
Hunger and food insecurity are also associated with many health problems including an increase in anxiety and depression. These problems may seem overwhelming, but you can make a difference.
Each year, the Jeremiah’s Inn Nutrition Center and Food Pantry provides food to more than 10,000 South Worcester residents, many of whom struggle with hunger and food insecurity on a daily basis. We also offer our clients Nutrition Education, meal planning, grocery store tours with Cooking Matters, free dental cleanings and more.
Your contribution will enable more than 10,000 local residents struggling with food insecurity and hunger put nutritious meals on the table for their families. Your donation will make a world of difference to the people who turn to Jeremiah’s Inn for help.
